    The idea was first born back in 2004. MySpace was gaining steam and like every other young 20 something Joe (J.) Penora joined the social network.

    After listening to friends’ complaints about random men sending inappropriate messages to them on MySpace; Joe made a tongue and cheek remark. He planned to build a “creepy guy” filter.

    After being just an idea for years, Joe J Penora and his father Joe Penora Sr., President of Intelldata, decide to bring Friend Verifier to life. The development of Friend Verifier begins.

  • March 9, 2012 - Launch

    Friend Verifier goes live to the public and in its first 30 days over a half a million people were scanned. Facebook reaches out to the Friend Verifier team.

    Friend Verifier reaches 13,144,651 unique Facebook accounts scanned for registered sex offenders. Facebook modifies how developers can access the social network. Consequently shutting down many startup companies in the process and pulling the plug on Friend Verifier. Our contacts at Facebook no longer return our messages.

    Facebook has claimed to be proactive when it come to preventing sex offenders from having an account. Friend Verifier decided to run a small test case looking for registered sex offenders on Facebook under their real names. The video released went into detail about their shocking findings.
